Welcome or welcome back to The Weekly Oracle.
Today we’re talking about heartbreak because, my friend, you need to stop romanticizing your own misery.
Yes, it’s extraordinarily uncomfortable.
Yes, it feels all-consuming.
But no, this is not a sign you’re doomed to live a life of solitude, heartache, and utter darkness.
What’s happened hasn’t broken you.
You’re just in that awkward phase of Spring Cleaning your life.
You know, when you’re cleaning out your closet and the room looks like a bomb went off because clothes are just everywhere?
Sure it’s a hot-mess, but it’s the only way to see what actually fits the person you are today.
So, let’s talk about the three plot twists happening in your life this year.

- You’re not “lost”. You’re evolving.
You keep saying you don’t know what you’re doing, or what you want anymore. That’s because the old you was heavily influenced by the expectations of others.
But your standards have changed. And instead of calling it growth, you’re viewing it as confusion. - You didn’t “lose” them. You are upgrading your life.
You were tolerating things you wouldn’t dream of accepting now. You were explaining away red flags, over-giving, and being over-accommodating just to keep the peace.
When something (or someone) exits your life after you raise your standards, it’s not a tragedy. It’s alignment. You didn’t get rejected. You’ve been redirected. So stop trying to re-enroll in a life you’ve outgrown. - You’re obsessed with a closed door while the future is waiting.
You’ve built a whole identity around a person who didn’t choose you, or an opportunity that didn’t pan out. You’re so busy harping over what didn’t work that you’re missing the new version of yourself that’s trying to emerge.
You’ve already survived the breakdown, the heartbreak, and the things meant to break you. You’re not back at square one. You’re between identities. That awkward, in-between space is where the old you dies and the new you is forged.

So stop mourning the version of yourself who kept shrinking just to keep things comfortable for everyone else.
This isn’t rock bottom.
It’s a restructuring.
And you’re finally deciding that the “bare minimum” is no longer acceptable.
So, take a deep breath, and start looking forward.
Because the future isn’t behind you.
It’s right in front of you.
Waiting.
And if we’re being honest, it’s about damn time you kicked that person (or people) out of your life.
Save this, so the next time your brain tries to convince you you’re failing, you’ll always have a reminder that you’re a frickin’ phoenix, rising from the ashes of the old self you’re leaving behind.
Save this to Pinterest so other people can find their way here, too.
See you next time, my friend.
